COVID 19 Updates

We are closely following the guidelines provided by the CDC and the DOH to ensure the safety of our children and staff during these challenging times. Our commitment to maintaining a healthy environment includes temperature checks, washing hands upon entering the building or using hand sanitizer. Conducting health screening by asking important health questions to assess the well-being of children. Our teachers always wear face masks when interacting with the children, prioritizing their safety. We carefully observe children for any early signs of illness, enabling us to take prompt action if needed. Per our sick policy If a child becomes sick during this time, we strictly adhere to the requirement of having them stay home for 72 hours.

These measures are crucial in minimizing the risk of COVID-19 transmission and ensuring a secure environment for all. We are fully committed to the well-being of your child and appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone involved.

Tuition is due at the 1st of each month and will be considered late after the 5th. A $50.00 late fee will be added to tuition fees if payment is late. If payment is not received after the 5th we reserve the right to deny service. ** Please see director if accommodations need to be made.

To hold your child’s spot payments must be paid whether your child attends or not. Payments are based on contract not attendance. Tuition will remain the same for your child until the child gets older and graduates to different classrooms.

The following applies to part time schedules. Unfortunately, we cannot switch around your child’s schedule.

Non-sufficient checks will be charged a $50 fee.

Late pick up Policy:

If your child is picked up after 6:30 pm there will be a late fee assessed of $10.00, and an additional $1.00 for every minute passed after.

The first 2 weeks will be regarded as a trial period, in which case either party may terminate the contract without notice. After the first two weeks of enrollment, two weeks written notice from the parent/guardian is required to terminate the contract. Except for gross mis conduct on part of the provider, parent or child. This is grounds for immediate discontinuation of services. In case of nonpayment, legal action may be taken, and the parents will be legal fees.

LOL recognize and celebrates all holidays, this includes but is not limited to birthdays, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Easter, etc. LOL is a non-biased all-inclusive center.

LOL will follow the North Thurston School District inclement weather policy during the winter months. If the public schools are closed so will we. If they are having a two hour delay the director will make the final decision as to whether the center will have a two-hour delay as well. The facility may also close due to weather conditions out of our control, such as, loss of power, loss of heat, flooding, etc.

LOL is open Monday-Friday 6am-6:30pm.

If your child will not be attending childcare due to illness or other reasons, please let us know as soon as possible. Families who have been enrolled for one calendar year will receive a one-week vacation credit per year.

For the health and safety of your child and all the children/staff at the center, please do not bring your child if they are sick. We can only care for children with mild cold like symptoms that are otherwise feeling and acting well. If you are unsure if your child can attend, please call the director and check with us. If a child becomes ill while at daycare, parents will be contacted to pick their child up. Parents need to pick their child up within an hour of being notified. If parents can not be reached, the emergency contact person will be notified.

**Note: once the child is removed from the center due to illness, they may not return until symptoms subside and are no longer present (at least 24 hours). The child must be void of any contagious disease/illness unless accompanied with a doctor note stating the illness is no longer contagious and the child is otherwise feeling well enough to participate in daily activities.

We are required by law to report any suspected incidents of possible child abuse or neglect. Your child can be questioned by child protective services at any time without your consent.

Consistent, dependable relationships are the foundation of children’s secure attachment to adults in their family. Stable and predictable relationships are just as essential to children in childcare settings. Changing childcare providers and environments too often is disruptive for a child. Children should be in the same childcare setting with the same adult caregivers for as long as possible in order to build the sense of security and trust that leads to secure attachment. Children in childcare need familiar routines to encourage learning and provide a sense of control. Having a secure attachment to a reliable, trusted childcare provider strengthens the connections in the brain, and gives children an even stronger foundation for later relationships.
